Great Wall Scenes

This is a remnant of an earlier smaller version of the Great Wall which was built further down the valley from the Great Wall.

Another wall.  The Chinese may have been good wall builders but that just breeds wall climbers.

This wall is not the Great Wall.

This is the Great Wall.

The scenic camel on its way home after a day hustling the tourists all day.

I went to the Great Wall in the early 80s with a couple of older salesmen who came and looked at the wall from this parking lot and then sat in the building in the background drinking beer all day while I walked up both sides of the valley walls.  The brown wagon in the foreground was ours and the driver hung around and patiently waited for us.
