Ryegrass

Juice is similar in flavour to that extracted from wheatgrass.  Its benefits are said to include a strengthened immune system, increased energy levels and relief from allergies.  Rye also seems active in the prevention of prostate cancer.  Available.

Kamut Grass

Also known as Khorasian wheat.  An ancient wheat cultivar which originated in the fertile crescent.  A very tasty grassing juice that has a slightly milder taste to wheatgrass in our opinion.  Loaded with nutrients.  Seasonally available, a wonderful alternative.  Available.

Oat Grass

Oat grass has proven to be popular choice here at THS.  It's full of iron, potassium and a number of vitamins such as A, B, C and E.  Drinking oat grass juice can help improve your diet and overall health with very little effort. "a shot a day keeps the doctor away!"  The discovery of the healthy cholesterol lowering properties has also led to wider appreciation of its juice.  Available.

Spelt Grass

Closely related to wheat, originated as a hybrid.  It is often sweeter than wheatgrass - and some find it more palatable.  Available occasionally. Coming soon!

Millet Grass

Has been in cultivation in East Asia for the last 10,000 years.  Millet, rather than rice, formed important parts of the prehistoric diet in Chinese and Korean societies.  The grass is every bit as potent.  Millet grass is rich in B vitamins, especially niacin, B6 and folic acid, calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, and zinc.  Coming soon!

Barley Grass

The barley plant was used by ancient societies such as Egyptians, Romans, and Vikings.  Barley grass contains many vitamins, particularly B vitamins, minerals and enzymes.  Also knownn to have a powerful antioxidant enzyme that protects the cells against toxic free radicals.  An intense, acquired taste.  Coming soon!
